CYA U19: Isabella Moskonas
The Chicago Young Americans are proud to announce that Isabella Moskonas has committed to play NCAA Hockey for Morrisville State. Morrisville is located in upper state New York and will be joining the highly competitive NEWHL next season. “We are all so excited for Bella and her decision to join the Mustangs next season,” commented Cimba. “Coach Lomanto got a very special player in Bella. In all the years I’ve been coaching this game, Bella is the first player I can honestly call the ideal team-mate. Her desire for success beyond that of her own, combined with an unparalleled level of pride towards this program and her team. It's like nothing I’ve ever seen. There’s no questioning a coaches decision or any form of self doubt, she just wants to play hockey and win.” Cimba went on to say, “ Bella’s perseverance, dedication and determination paid off with high dividends as she reached her lifelong goal to play NCAA Hockey."
“First off I want to thank Coach Bud Simon for introducing me to CYA,” said Moskonas. “The moment I put that red helmet on last year was the moment I knew I found the place I wanted to be. It was the exact same feeling when I spoke to Coach Lomanto the first time, I just knew. Then after visiting the campus and seeing that Morrisville had what I wanted academically, I was 110% in. I want to thank my family as I know this has been a crazy journey with a crazy level of commitment, but your belief in me never wavered. You backed me every step of the way and I can’t thank you enough.”
In the short term, Moskonas has her sites set on a State championship as the seasons home stretch is upon us.
Way to go Bella!!
