Program Overview

In its 26^th year, the Chicago Young Americans (CYA) Hockey Club is offering an array of opportunities for corporate sponsors to gain visibility in the newly remodeled home of the Chicago Young Americans, the American Heartland Ice Arena. Published studies indicate that ice arenas attract over 650,000 visitors each year. The CYA Hockey Club fields ten teams that practice 3-4 times/week and play 2-3 games against nationally ranked competition each week. For our sponsorship partners, this represents an exciting opportunity to establish awareness affluent adults, young adults, siblings and visitors attending CYA games and practices. Sponsorship opportunities range from the CYA "Triple A" package which offers visibility throughout the ice arena, lobby and players uniforms, to smaller packages which may meet different needs.

The Hockey Program and its Value for Sponsors

CYA is one of only four Tier One Triple AAA hockey programs in the state of Illinois. CYA teams represent the top of Illinois hockey and attract players, opponents and visitors from Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio and Michigan. League games are regional "events" as nationally known teams from the High Performance Hockey League (HPHL) visit the American Heartland Ice Arena, attracting spectators from the hockey community throughout the area. Game results are posted, followed and discussed on several national web sites.

Chicago Young Americans Program Description

CYA Hockey within Illinois
At each birth year, CYA is one of only four youth hockey teams in the state of Illinois, authorized by USA Hockey, to play Tier One "AAA" hockey. Considering that, at each birth year, there are over 250 teams authorized by USA Hockey in Illinois, CYA teams represent 2% of amateur hockey in Illinois. Our Student/Athletes have worked for many years to earn the right to play Tier One hockey and now, most athletes train year-round to maintain their Tier One status.

CYA Hockey within the US
As one of the founding members, CYA is in good standing with the HPHL. The HPHL is comprised of some of the finest youth hockey teams on North America. The HPHL league routinely graduates its Student/Athletes to the Ivy League Schools; Division One colleges and NCAA approved amateur junior hockey programs. Beyond its commitment to athletic excellence, the HPHL is committed to promoting academics and education among its student/athletes. Two examples of HPHL league commitment to academics are league rules that require regular examination of the grades of CYA student/athletes and the requirement that no league games be scheduled so that school attendance is sacrificed.

The CYA Life
CYA Families typically will be at Heartland 4-5 times a week for 2-3 hours per day. While waiting for their student/athlete on practice nights, parents will stay in the rink or in their car(listening to the radio). On game days, parents of all teams will spend all of their time in the Heartland Rink. CYA student/athletes are always in the Heartland Ice Arena (10-12 hours per week).

Lobby Sponsor Board

Each one of the 650,000 visitors to the Heartland Ice Arena each year passes through the lobby. Before and after games, visitors wait in the lobby. Parents wait for their children in the lobby. Spectators meet in the lobby before games. With a Lobby Sponsor Board sponsorship, your company or brand name will be seen multiple times by visitors throughout the year at Heartland Ice Arena.

CYA Web Site Advertising

HPHL team websites are the primary avenue of communication throughout the year. Parents and athletes visit the web site for scheduling and try-out information. Visitors consult the web site for directions to the rink. Rivals visit the web site for team standings. Grandparents stay in touch with their grandchildren. CYA offers sponsors a variety of banner opportunities and links that rotate across the high traffic areas of the CYA site.

Annual Program Book

The Annual Program is each players "year-book" of their memorable year playing for CYA. This coffee table book is packed with team photos, statistics, and good wishes for players and teams. In commemoration of their achievements, CYA players proudly pass along the Annual Program to family, relatives, friends and teachers. Your company will benefit from this long-lasting publication and from the gratitude and FANATIC loyalty of CYA parents and players.

CYA Coupon Fliers

CYA is proud to announce this new opportunity for our sponsors to benefit from the tremendous spectator traffic at Heartland Ice Arena for all CYA games. This year team managers will distribute CYA coupon fliers to spectators and visiting teams prior to all CYA home games. Spectators will receive coupons for your products and your business. Ideal sponsors include, restaurants, hotels, fast food outlets, department stores and many more. Watch your investment pay- off as you count the coupons submitted by loyal CYA fans as they become your loyal customers.
