CYA would like to congratulate Julia Tylke for her commitment to St. Cloud State. St Cloud plays in the highly competitive WCHA Division 1 College Hockey Conference and plays their games in the famous Herb Brooks National Hockey Center, where Julia will be joining teammates Jordan Stewart and Ivy Dynek. “Silky-Tylke,” as she’s known by her teammates, is currently sitting at 38 points in 48 games and has been a big part of the teams offense this season. “It’s been real special for me to see Tylke grow into an amazing person both on and off the ice,” commented Cimba. “She will be greatly missed. St. Cloud is getting themselves a hard working, tremendous young woman. It’s never easy when a player chooses to play a PG year, but Tylk’s hard work and dedication paid off. We wish Tylke and her family the best in the future.” The “Silky-mittens" winger has spent the last 6 seasons with CYA preparing herself for the college hockey level and her dream of doing just that has come true. "I would like to thank CYA for my time with the organization over the past 6 years. I would also like to thank my family for supporting me throughout my hockey career, the Cwik family for a year of billeting, as well as the Hougard and Thomas families for the car pool. None of this would have ever happened if it hadn’t been for you all,” said Julia. “I would also like to thank my teammates past and present for making me the player I am today. I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to play with all of you and can’t describe in words how excited I am for college hockey and continuing my academic future at St. Cloud. It was a dream of mine since I started playing travel hockey.” Julia looks to keep CYA on track with their quest for the National Championship.
We are all so proud of you Tylke!!!
